If too lazy to read the article, well here's the summary: KARA was voted by vocal experts as the worst singing KPop idol group. Yes. But I'm not surprised. Me as a hardcore Kamilia *well, getting there. Hihi! ^.^* honestly thinks that KARA's vocal ability is not as good as the other groups; they lack power, stability (sometimes), and range.
Because I listen to a lot of KPop girls, I can say that KARA, when they sing, hardly sounds as great as the others. Seungyeon, the main vocalistand my bias! has a good voice but it doesn't really stand out. In fact, all of their (the members) voices are almost power-less. You know, vocal power is important to a singer because it's your way for your voice to get noticed right? If the power's really not that good, then you can refer to the vocal quality. But it's a more complicated topic because quality sometimes depends on the beholder. I can say that KARA has some good quality, but, compared to the other groups? Nuh-uh. The others have clean vibrato, angelic falsettos, clear execution of tones, etc. KARA can do that. It's just that the others are better.
Here's what the experts say about KARA: Their vocals and rhythm have a decent sound, and there are a few cases where they display accurate sound, however their actual vocals could use some improvement.
Their actual vocals. Amen. After Sunghee left and KARA changed their image from a mature RnB sound to cute and natural, their voices changed along with it. Not saying that their voices became ugly, but Sunghee--the vocal powerhouse of the group--was obviously the one who lifted the groups's place in the singing scene.
Sunghee was KARA's diva, almost like Taeyeon who ranked 2nd (along with Hyorin) in the rank for 'best idol singer'. I actually like Seungyeon's timid voice quality better than Sunghee's, but hers is really powerful and typical--the typical "great" one. I can't blame the typicality though~ it's the name of the game.
KARA is not in the typical's list: The typical idol groups with typical great singing abilities. That makes them never the best in singing, but the worst. (or at least one of it).

Despite all of these criticims, I am standing at the truth pulpit that KARA is my favorite girl group. ♥
